Section 8(a) Business Development Program Assistance
An 8(a) firm is a small business that is owned and operated by socially and economically disadvantaged citizens and has been accepted into the 8(a) Business Development Program. The federal government’s goal is to award at least 5% of all federal contracting dollars to small, disadvantaged businesses.
Eligible businesses participating in the 8(a) program receive training and technical assistance that will provide them with the tools and resources to compete effectively in the American economy. Our diversity and inclusion team understands the complex regulations of this program and can help determine if your business is eligible to compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs or small business set-asides you may qualify for.
