Prior to law school, Kelsey worked for years as a claims professional for Berkshire Hathaway giving her extensive experience in negotiating complex issues. Throughout her time at the Fortune 500 company, Kelsey coordinated case resolution with unrepresented clients, attorneys, employers, and medical providers. In accordance with state-specific guidelines for claims handling, she independently managed reserves ranging up to $75,000. Her experience with one of the top Fortune 500 companies gives her an edge that sets her apart from other attorneys. With her father being a police captain, Kelsey has always wanted to work with the law. Ultimately, it was the opportunity to build relationships while interacting with people on a day to day basis that drew Kelsey to want to become a litigator. “Litigation is like putting together a puzzle—I enjoy taking the disjointed emails, letters, purchase orders and other communication and fitting them together to make a cohesive story,” says Kelsey.
