Sioux City Attorney in Corporate, Estate Planning and Probate
Experienced-Zealous Advocate
Jeffrey T. “JT” Myers is a battle seasoned and experienced Sioux City attorney focusing on corporate and business law, estate planning and probate, and commercial and residential real estate. Throughout his 40+ year legal career he has been a prosecutor, a judicial magistrate, and business litigator. His vast experience also includes practicing insurance law, banking and UCC law, real estate transactions, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Law, Plaintiff’s personal injury and specific areas of criminal law. With his broad background in business law, he has been chosen as the corporate attorney for many local businesses. JT works closely with CEO’s and owners in effectively handling the multitude of issues that face them in today’s complicated business climate. As a U.S. Army Veteran, JT spends much of his time helping veterans and clients with their estate planning and probate needs. With the Goosmann Law Firm’s business-minded and client-centered team, JT listens to and hears his clients’ needs. He makes his clients’ goals and needs his own, and treats them as he would want to be treated. This allows JT and the Goosmann team to provide personalized attention to each case. It is no secret that he is willing to “stand in the fire” with his clients. His mantra is: “be impeccable with your word!” He is honored when clients trust him with their needs whatever they may be. You get more than just an attorney when JT represents you. Jeffrey T. Myers will be your friend and ally.
As a third-generation attorney, JT grew up listening to the “war stories” of his grandfather and uncle (both distinguished attorneys). Because of this, JT knew he wanted to be a lawyer at an early age. He has learned the importance of listening to his clients. With his years of experience, he offers clients a unique approach to the law practice in truly caring about their personal and emotional needs that go along with their legal matters. JT feels that: “Being a lawyer has given me the opportunity to fix bad situations that clients find themselves in. I have never had a client that wanted to have to come see me (a lawyer)! They are real people with real problems. I respect them. I am old-fashioned in that regard.”
LICENSED IN: Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota
JT’s “Why”
Rarely on a man’s death bed has he said: “I wish I had spent more time at the office!” Being a husband, father, and respected man are JT’s first priorities in life. He has an incredible wife, Gina. They have six children, five grandchildren, a wonderful dog, and a cat (JT is allergic to cats). They live on a lake, push a lot of water and participate in water sports. He is an avid golfer and loves mother nature and hunting with friends. He is fine with having his friends cheat on him in cards. He “says” he can still play a pretty good game of chess. JT and his wife say they are lucky enough to be able to travel a lot (primarily in the winter). Those who know JT, know him as “THE IRISHMAN.” St. Patrick’s Day is BIG in his family. He claims that he usually wins “all” of the costume contests and is full of blarney (we can’t help but believe him!).
